Description
Game designers, developers and consultants. We believe that games are for everyone. Players from all locations, of all persuasions, and of all different backgrounds.
History
NowNo Moss Studios continues to develop excellent games. They're currently working on Salty Space, a space-based fighting game. In addition, they are working on a number of exciting smaller projects, such as feature-phone based games, and a mobile game for a Non-Profit partner.
2019No Moss Studios created a number of interesting games. Over 2019, they doubled down on their motto of making Games for Everyone. In 2019, they focused on bringing their games to a number of different platforms, so that they could be enjoyed by any players. This included traditional platforms such as mobile and Nintendo Switch, plus more bespoke platforms, such as Arcade Cabinet and Feature Phone.
2018In 2018, No Moss Studios started working on a longer form project, Beam Team, released in July. They also released a number of other smaller projects, including Clouded (created from a game jam), as well as updating Sprout Up (to remove monetisation and add some cool social features). In August, they started a patreon to help fund development of smaller projects. They have already released a number of narrative based experiences, including My Magpie (where you nurse an injured magpie back to health while exploring parental relationships) as well as Skate Night (where you have conversations while skating around a roller rink).
2017After releasing a few early projects, they decided to double down, releasing four games across September - October of 2017. They brought these games to PAX AU to enter the Australian game dev scene. Following this, they built out the Studio, working on more contracts, and doing experimental projects such as 6 Games in 6 Weeks.
Early historyNo Moss Studios began as a collective between four game designers working at No Moss, a tech consultancy. After working on their own games in their spare time, and collaborating on smaller games projects, they realised that they could start a company together. Sponsored by No Moss, they banded together to form No Moss Studios.
